Hi I'm a 20year old student from South Africa(Cape Town). Driving a c55 looking for cheap ways to upgrade my cars performance. I've removed my secondary cats but in need of more power.
Help me please!!!!!

Help me please!!!!!

The C55 is not cheaply modified for horsepower. The secondaries and resonator are a good start for a little better top-end and much nicer sound. A tune from Eurocharged would be a possible next step, but after that you are looking at big bucks!!
I would say enjoy the car and save a little bit for repairs and maintenance. I was 6 years older than you are when I bought mine, so you are doing pretty good already
ENJOY!

Car emergency fund is not a bad ideA.
You might keep your eyes peeled for a used set of kleemann headers. Headers and tune would be a nice bump for you without breaking the bank.
Just beware of emissions testing if that matters in your area.

X2, in the absence of FI, you're NOT going to get much HP out of just Cat Backs and even a tune (I've seen a MAX of 6 hp with tune) . Try and find an old Autorotor Kleemann S/C if you really want to "boost" the car, but they are still running over $6 K for a new/used one.Originally Posted by betrezra

Thanks guys I think I'm going with the eurocharge tune for starter
I think you will notice an improvement in responsiveness and a bit more power- a lot of us have done it so post any questions you have.
The best thing to do would be to get Kleemann headers (MBH would be even better, but cost more) and open up the exhaust and you will get quite a large power bump because of how restrictive the primary cats are. Obviously, a tune to go with that.
