C55 Radio: powers on, no sound. solution

This has probably been posted before but I just had to reset mine again and thought I'd repost for others. I have the standard radio with no command and twice my radio has gone "dead" with no sound. Unit powers up and responds, just no sound.

Solution: turn off the car and remove keys. Go into the driver's side firewall fuse box and pull fuse #64 then replace. It should be a blue 15 amp fuse on bottom of the first row closest to the firewall. Your radio should work with sound again.

Regards,

Hey Aaron,

Thanks for the tip. When I first encountered, I was so pissed-off! I ran out to listedn to the radio as my music was about to come - ok, old fashion but I don't have BT/MP3 or anything as I, too, standard - and... no sound... at all...

I've had this twice in 1 yr, and no idea what triggers off/on.

I know it is an old thread, but this happened to me last night. Your trick of pulling fuse 64 and putting it back in resolved the issue. Thanks for posting the solution

New issue after removing and returing fuse

Hello,

I had done this in the past and it worked fine. This time however, my car won't even turn over I did remove the large orange fuse and the purple "box" relay/fuse? to gain better access to the blue fuse in the back.. Everything came out and was put in fine Any ideas on what I may have done to have caused my car to now not start or even have the Fob lock the doors?
