Intermittent AC issue
I have what seems like an odd problem. To try and quantify this, I will say this happens on average every 5 times I drive my car. The AC will not blow cold air and/or adds humidity inside the cabin. I say that because when this problem occurs my windshield will fog up and it gets muggy in the cabin. This will happen right upon startup normally, but it also has occurred after AC has been on for a while (more than 10-15 minutes at least).
This is what I have done so far. I bought myself a can of refrigerant with a dial and the pressures were slightly low, so I went ahead and added just a couple second burst of 134a and the pressures were back to where they should be (around the 50-55psi mark with the ambient temp in the low 80's). I have since checked the refrigerant pressure when this has occurred and it has been normal.
Here's what I think it may be, and I hope you guys may know better, I think I have some humidity in the lines and need to get an evac/recharge done. Since this runs in the $200 range, I figured I would check on here first before I just blow money into the wind.
Thanks,
Damian

MBWorld Fanatic!
When this happened to me, I had to just replace my AC Compressor.
I hope this isn't the case with you as it's not cheap.
Good Luck!
