I believe, that BMW sells well more than 3,000 M3's per year and MBZ has difficulty selling around 800 C32's. Same with E39 M5 which sell around 3k per year and MBZ had trouble selling just 500 W210 E55's.

Being from Fairfax, I agree that demand for a used C32, especially one with any mods, probably wouldn't be very good as buying new is easier and safer. In addition, dd_kota sounds like he'd be a dream to deal with on a used car purchase.

My Dad always told me that cars aren't an investment and if you expect to get a big chunk of your money back after getting out of one in two years, especially in this economy, you will get a rude awakening. Yes, people in Fairfax may still have money but all our investment portfolios took big hits in the market and some may shy away from a discretionary, luxury item purchase.
