Quote: Trouble is my CLK is brand new but the trade in offer is a joke

Also spent enough on speed fines to date so an AMG would be jail stuff
Maybe the SL is a better trade then. Where there is a will, there is a way

Hi guys I have a 2005 E55, love my beast.

AMG Club South Africa.

I have started a New page on Facebook, I think if we can get this one going with all AMG car owners of South Africa, and maybe in future arrange a AMG event that would be grate.

Would love to see lots of AMG's on the highway for a event.

Go check the page out, place some pictures and comments.

Hazit Shaun. I am an ex C32 owner (modded of course), wanted a '05-'06 C55 and ended up with my '03 E55. Welcome to the forum, the '06 C55 was a dream for me, but I found my immaculate E55 for the same price and had to take it. I personally think the C55 is more fun to drive, but I have fallen into the straight line drag racing pit and their is no coming out of it once you have started. Plenty of guys here in SA that are AMG mad, especially with the C63's. Just started mods on mine November last year, but I forgot how pricey it is in SA. Give us a shout if you need a hand with who to trust and what you should pay.

When last was the car serviced? I think you should check the plugs and air filters and have the car checked for any faults. That is far too heavy, my c 55 is heavy and it gets about 400km on a tank. Doubt it is something big though. Check that the map sensor is clean too.

Whoa mate!! that's craziness, something not right there bud, unless you track driving majorly heavy foot.. When I had my C32 I got on average 400-500kms per tank, and that was with quite a few mods on the car. Think you running very rich, will advise to get it checked out.. Sorry don't know anyone in Capetown to advise you to go see though. Goodluck and welcome to the AMG Familia

Best place to get parts is from the USA, far cheaper than local and very easy to do especially if you have PayPal.

Best are FCP Euro, Pelican Parts and Autohausaz.

Yeah I get most of my parts from there but the shipping for heavy parts kill you. Shipping costs the same as the parts from the dealers locally.
