C32 Key not Unlocking/Locking Doors
Recently my key stopped locking/unlocking my car. I thought it be the batteries so I replaced them and nothing worked. The car starts perfectly so im not sure what the deal is??? Can anyone guide what to do? or what may be the problem? Thanks..

Sounds like a bad remote. Mine did this and then shortly after this it no longer started the car and it left me stranded. The unlocking of the doors is a different part of the remote from the ignition.

The same thing happened to me 2 months ago for the first time in 5 years of ownership. I woke up, tried the remote unlock/lock and trunk button and nothing worked. Had to take the key out of the remote to unlock the door and the alarm went off. Had to quickly put the key back in the remote and switched the ignition on and the car turned on and alarm went off.
I immediately went and bought new batteries but it still didn't work. Was about to go to the dealer, but the next day I woke up and everything worked and it hasn't happened since.
I'm also curious what caused this and the solution for it.

How is your radio reception? The key transmits both an IR and a RF signal to unlock the car.The signal is received by an antenna amplifier. If this dies radio reception is degraded and the smart key may not work except really close to the car

ok my radio amp and speakers are all aftermarket so what can I do to regain the IR and RF lost by no longer having the factory equipment even my reception to any radio sucks plus my signal especially sucks for the radio itself.
