Quaife issue

last week my axle slipped out of Quaife LSD diff, anyone else had this issue? Oem c-clips can't be used with this LSD, what are you guys doing to keep axle in place. Appreciate any advice.

Car is 2002 w208 clk55 and using qdf7v quaife LSD, this should be same diff/LSD as c32.

Axle slip out????

I put a quaife in my C32, I dont see how the axle is able to slip out with the wheel hub bolted in place, the circlips only hold the differential unit in place, the axles are a push in with only the wheel hub to secure them,,,

Check to see if anything is broken. I know that 2002 axles are known for causing leaks. But never heard of it just slip out out.

You should have the old two piece axles in your car that used the c clip that had to be pulled with the diff cover off. When you put the lsd in you can not use them. So what you have to do is have the stub shafts turned down a little for the newer one piece style push in axle retainers to fit on. It does not take much and you would want to make sure that it is about the same as a newer axle so get one to compare for the machine shop.
