Outside temp indicator stuck at 185 Degrees

I Just replaced the original heat-exchanger with the much larger aftermarket PLM heat exchanger on my 2002 C32 amg. Everything seems to work fine now except for the outside temperature indicator on the dashboard. it now says 185 degrees only and I don't know how to fix this problem. I kept resetting the outside temperature button back to farenheit and it only displays 185 degrees here. It never changes even when the car is running hot and only says 185 degrees. Any ideas why it is doing this? Thanks,
Andy T

The outside temp sensor is in the front bumper, I'd check the connections first. You may have knocked something loose while doing work in that area

Something Slow
if its stuck at 185 that means the temp sensor is either missing or faulty.. it located near the fog light.

Mine was disconnected once, that is what is "read out" - connect it back - and it worked again!

Just by the passenger side fog lamp...

Temp/check engine light

Would this also cause the check engine light to come on?
