Sounds Coming From Suspension on 02 C32
Kevin
I just picked up an 02 yesterday and drove it 1,200 miles. I noticed that when I'd come off the highway and pull into uneven parking lots at around 5-10 MPH that there is a clunking sound coming from the rear wheels. It sounds a lot like what a flat tire sounds like (not flats present). Is this a normal noise at low speeds? Also, the suspension creeks a lot. It sounds like you can hear the springs compress. Is this normal. And one last noise is when the brakes are depressed at highway speeds you hear what I can only describe as being like very increased road noise (low pitch hum like noise) as the brakes grab. Just wondering if any of this is typical.

Not sure about your first noise.
The second noise sounds like the sway bar bushing. It is a very common problem with early generation C32s. Just take it to your dealer and ask them to change the bushings to the '03's.
The third noise sounds like your rear rotors were warped.

Thanks for the info. I'll have the dealer swap out the sway bar bushing(s) for me. How does the dealer treat issues like warped rotors, do they cover that under warranty?
