Used C32 missing signature plate?
Hi all:
I've been lurking here for a while and finally got a chance to test drive a 2002 C32 last night. It was a fun and incredibly fast ride.
The car I drove appears to be almost fully loaded, its missing bi-xenon lights, and interestingly enough, the signature plate for the AMG employee who assembled the engine.
(1) Can MB supply a replacement signature plate? If so, any idea how much that would cost? If you were buying a used C32 would you be concerned about the missing plate? (i.e., do they normally fall off or get lost sometimes when the car is serviced, or does it have more significance as perhaps the engine needed major work at some point, etc.)
(2) Can xenon or bi-xenons be retrofitted to the car by the dealer? Was bi-xenon an option in 2002, or did it come later in 2003? If so, can bi-xenons still be retrofitted into a 2002?

The Bi-Xenons were only a 2003 option, and yes they can be retrofitted to the car. Search this forum a little and you will find alot of info on the topic.
The 2002 cars did not have the signiture plate on the engine. My car was the first 03 and I sadly did not get the plate either.
