Oil pan gasket question
I did a quick search and couldnt find information regarding my question.
I have a small oil leak ( no leaks when motor is off, appears to be blow by when its running) on my 02 C32. I have started to notice the smell of burning oil after the car has been running for a several minutes and I have gotten some oil residue on the pulleys, appears the oil is misting possibly and getting on the front of the motor. I can not see any leaks on the front of the motor that would suggest it leaking higher up.
Last time the car was at the dealer the technician made a note on the paperwork about a small oil leak in the lower oil pan gasket. (does the car have an upper and lower oil pan?) So i am going to assume that is probably my issue.
My question is, how hard is it to change this gasket? I have the tools and know how etc, just wondering if anyone else has had to change the oil pan gasket on theirs and if they ran into any head aches doing so or was it just drop it and replace the gasket and reinstall? I am trying to avoid paying a butt load of money to get it changed if I can do it myself.
