Unhappy P0717 input turbine speed sensor A Circuit no signal

I changed my conductor plate and tcc/pwm solenoid last night. i got the fluid up to the correct level and I am now throwing the "P0717 input turbine speed sensor A Circuit no signal" code. I have the torque app and it "says" it is clearing the codes. I clear the code, turn the car off, turn it back on and the code is gone. Then I turn the car back on and instantly get a CEL. This is easily reproducible. My hunch is that I am not clearing the code in the TCU and I am in limp mode. The car goes in to gear and will run in reverse forever. if you shift to drive from reverses you do not get a gear. If you shift back to park and then to drive you get the gear but it runs like the e-brake is or the torque converter is toast. I am at the end of my knowledge and would appreciate any help.

These are all factory parts bought at the dealer. Has anyone bought a defective conductor plate? Any help would be great.

Well... I see there is a lot of people looking so I will continue this for anyone interested. Dropped the pan again to find no oil filter in place (Doh!). reinstalled and still in limp mode. I drove it to work to day to take it to the indy near me at 25mph. I will take it in this afternoon and see what happens. i suspect one of two things. A. when the code is cleared it will run fine or B. the conductor plate I just got has a bad speed sensor.

Just to finish this off. Every code that could have been triggered in the TCU had been. cleared the code and the car now shifts again. Unfortunately I still have a problem. When the car is cold it runs great. No more hop from first to second. The problem is when the car gets warm and you get to about 50mph you feel a slight jump. after that if you floor it the rpms increase very slowly and if you hit kick down you get tons of revs but no forward momentum. I think the torque convert is on its way out. Any ideas?
