Saw some awesome cars today and raced an RT/10 Viper

We had a big car meet today. Lots of nice cars (2 Diablos, 1 512 TR Ferrari, 6 996 TTs, 1 GT2, 1 GT3, Some NA 996s, 7-8 Vipers, 1 NSX, 5 or so MKIV Supras, 1 SL55 AMG, etc.). Later in the evening I was able to run against a nearly stock 95 RT/10 Viper. The car only has an exhaust but it came from the factory as a very strong example. The owner is also a great driver as he has been able to run 12 flat in the 1/4 mile. That is an extremely good time for a nearly stock, gen 1 RT/10. Anyway, he was able to beat me pretty good in the lower gears jumping out by several cars after a few seconds. From a higher roll he also pulled away but at what seemed like a much slower rate perhaps 1.5-2 car lengths over the same amount of seconds. I was pretty content with staying stock (280-300RWHP) until today. It feels like just another 30RWHP, at the most, would put me even with the Viper. Now I'm thinking of saving up for the level two mods or whatever its called and get 365 or so HP to the wheels. I'll have to do some math and see where that power to weight ratio would put me in relation to today's other meet attendants.

I need to do that by the time the group assembles for another meet in March. Here is my guesstimate of how yesterdays players would shake out listed in 1/4 mile abilities:

Rolls Royce
95ish M3
95ish NSX
Tied: My C32 & the 03 M3 & The 2 996 Carrera 4S'
996 w/ GT3 aero
Ferrari 512LM
stock 1999 Diablo roadster
Nearly Stock 95 Viper RT/10
(My C32 with 340 RWHP)
400 RWHP twin turbo Supras
03 SL55 AMG (C32 w/ at least 367 RWTQ and 350 RWHP)
Porsche GT3 stock
stock 996 turbos
03 RT/10
GT2
The multiple modded (500+ HP) 996 turbos
Various NA Vipers with other mods
blown Viper GTS
twin-supercharged Diablo
750+RWHP 1995 Supra

So I could jump up a few notches in this group. Hmmm what kind of mods/ RWHP what would it take for me to be competitive with the stock SL55 and 996 turbos?

Edit: I did some research and found that the SL55 has 8.59 lbs per HP and 8.2 lbs. per foot/lb of torque. So using a 15% drivetrain loss on the C32 I figured out what I'd need to make to jump up to that league.

For what its worth, I just found out that the complete list of mods on the Viper I raced is:
Smooth Tubes
S&B Filter
Balanger cat-back exhaust

Not just the exhaust as I'd initially thought.
