RUST!!! 2003 C32 issues by doors and rear wheel arch
anyone have 2003 year C32's and have issues with rust bubbles along the bottom of all doors and both rear wheel arches/quarter panels? is that normal? its $400 to 500 per panel/rust spot to repair with cut new metal to repace (vs bondo) and new paint but i am not sure if i want to spend that to fix.
i live in chicago so water/snow/salt contribute to rust especially on an 11 year old car, but by comparison my mother has a 13 year old ford and it runs like **** but the paint is PERFECT. anyone else have this problem?

my c32 is also suffering some rust... it looks rather ****ty on the trunk... someones painted over it once before as well... and if you look very closely there is very small spots of rust on the passenger door along the bottom, some small spots on the hood... it really is rather depressing...

Yep,I have the same problem,more so on the rear arches.I also had it on the bonnet. I've replaced the bonnet with one from eurocarparts as I found it cheaper than getting the other one repaired and re sprayed.
And there was a good chance the rust would return in a yr or two!!

I'm picking mine up today from the body shop after having rear wheel arch rust repaired. Not cheap, but I just don't see finding a car I like better - cheaper to do this than spend >$20K to get another used C-AMG...

About what did it cost per rear wheel arch to repair the rust? Im in chicago and a couple body shops say 450 per panel as they cut out the bad rusted metal and replace/weld new in and repaint the panel.
seems expensive but then again its a benz.

I spent quite a bit more per wheel, ~$700, but I took it to a fairly high-end shop that I know does quality work. The car looks brand new, very happy I did it.
