Unusual IC Pump problem?
I've searched this forum and the internet on this one. I have a 2004 C32 and the IC pump is not turning on. I just replaced a leaky intercooler, which is awesome, but I can't get the IC pump to work.. It turns on and runs if I hit it with 12v directly from the battery, but that's it. I checked all fuses (mine is a 2004 so I have fuse 18 in the back, no #5 or relay C), and every fuse in the car is OK. I tried checking the red power wire in the pump cable but can't find where it goes. I think it runs along the fire wall behind the air box inlets, but there is no solid red cable in the front fuse box under the hood, or in the fuse box inside the front door. I can find a solid red wire to fuse 18 in the trunk, but I get no continuity with the pump wires. The brown ground wire from the pump goes right to ground in the engine bay, and it ohms-out there. But it also ohms out with the red (positive) battery test point. Does anyone know where the red wire from the IC pump plug goes, so I can check it for continuity? I suspect I may have a short somewhere but would like to confirm it. Also, if I were to rewire the IC pump to turn on with the ignition '2' position, where can I find a wire for ignition '2' power? Again, it's a 2004 C32. Thanks!!
