Strut replacement head-scratcher

Hi guys - so I did the front struts in my '04 C32; checked my VMI to make sure which suspension I had (code 494) and looked up the P/N I need and bought the Sachs OE dampers from RockAuto and new upper spring seat and damper top mount from rmeuropean. I get it all back together, and notice that there's a gap between the top bracket and the rubber body mount (parts 120 and 130 in attached pic). This just seems to me that it can't be right, but I didn't look closely when I disassembled. There's no way in hell I'm doing this again, so if this is wrong I'm leaning toward buying a pair of part 130's and slipping them under the bracket. A) Is this a bad idea, and B), is the gap actually not a problem?

Thanks.

edit: I do know that the bracket has slots for keys in the top of the upper mount, the slots and keys are lined up.

I asked this same question a while back and was told it is normal. Now kep in mind I have coil-overs. A goole search will net you a lot of answers.

Thanks, I just googled it and like you said it looks like it's normal. I was worried that in rebound (extension) travel it would clunk against the body but the spring seat load must be large enough to always hold the upper mount bearing tight against the body.
