c55 wheels vs clk55 wheels

Hi Guys

As the title states, what is the difference between the c55 wheels and clk55 wheels, particularly the front wheels? According to EPC the front wheels of the C55 has a off set of 30mm where the SLK and CLK has a off set of 37mm. Apart from the off set, is it the same?

I want to purchase a new set from Mercedes but apparently the front wheels are discontinued (which I find hard to believe). Now the parts department told me that I have to choose a different wheel but I want my C55 stock.

Now if I need to buy the clk wheels, what will the 7mm offset do to my wheel alignment or my car (fender rubbing?)?

Hope you guys can help.

PS, if you guys know of a new set of front C55 wheels at a Mercedes dealership, please give me a shout.

I have CLK55 wheels on my C55. They were a chrome exchange; I guess the chromer didn't know there was a difference.

CLK55 push in 7mm in the front, but still clear the calipers like normal. No big difference really. The rears push out 4mm I think. Clears rear fenders just fine.

You'll have no problems.

Thanks Viper, but what do you do when you set your wheel alignment at your local tire place?

The wheel alignment machine has a fixed datem for the wheel.

I would hope your wheel alignment shop would be able to take care of any challenge that you bring them. People have been swapping wheels out for many many moons and they have been able to align the front ends just fine. At least this has been my experience.

I just bought CLK55 wheels as my second wheels set for winter. Wheel model:

Fronts are ET37 7,5. Are you sure them clear calipers? Because now with stock C55 wheels visually is only 3-4mm gap between wheel and the caliper
Thanks in advance!
