Code 3 mod on sl55 intakes
After that I decided to get the complete sl55 intake set up..This only gave me an extra 8 hp but gave me almost 60 ft lbs of torque
but the SC whine virtually disappeared...So a couple weeks ago I decided to fit the code 3 to the 55's..No need to reduce the length of the 55 's hoses which I was pleased about.. I've now been driving it a few weeks and haven't had any issues, and the SC whine is backMy question is. Has anyone else done this and have you had any issues?
I haven't checked the AFR but as I said I don't seem to have any issues, rough idling, overheating, smoke etc.
I also have EC 65mm pulley and tune with standard cooling.
But it was a straight forward swap. I fitted some foam tape to the code 3 to stop pressure loss and pushed the 55 hoses right up on the code 3 then held them in place with jubilee clips. You get I slight hiss when you tap the peddle but I'm pretty certain that's due to the intake mod sucking in extra air
