Quote: Yes, the new EC headers desighn is "log" type
These are 3 to 1 like their old version.
But seems to be more close to supersprint shorties
Looks great, maybe this is a special custom order? Or they started to make this better design again?
What price did you pay?
Yeah they've started to make this design again. PM sent

The full exhaust flows way better!! Only had time to do a cold start before I left for school but I could feel the improved throttle response while revving

Old design: Deleted sec. cats/resonator, 2.5" piping ----> magnaflow 12468 muffler -----> 2.5" piping to tips

Had no drone, nice exhaust note...I felt that it was kinda restrictive though from all the changing and swapping I did so I went with 3" piping this time to see what performance gains I'd get

Thinking about grabbing the Rohana RC5 in 19" machined black since the other rims just didn't do it for me in 18s. The offsets are +30 front +33 rear...thinking of going +18 all around with a 12mm spacer in the front and 15mm in the rear. Will this work? Fenders already rolled and I have rear adjustable camber. Thanks

Ahh, so it's true! EC started to make nice headers!
Hopefully there is one set for me

What is the coating, did you ask for it, or they was available like that?

I was originally going to get the single fin but they only had it in matte

Yeah believe it was 453, I was just saying that in response to GTA_C32 haha

The shop says we should be anywhere between 450 and 475 tho after the tweaked needswings intake manifolds and custom DCAI

That exhaust sounds awesome! Now you have me itching to change mine again...

On another note, was the fog light install a pain or pretty easy?

Haha thanks, yours sounds pretty good too I heard it in that video from the cars & coffee. After noticing the taillights I was like "I know who that is "

Install wasn't pretty bad the first time we did it, just time consuming because we kept the bumper on. After doing it a second time and removing the bumper I definitely recommend going that route as it'll save lots of time and frustration trying to get into that cramped space with the bumper intact.

you're going to need to stack pulleys to get anywhere near 450whp. That means new fuel pump and injectors.

Yeah I already planned to grab the 550cc injectors and wow really? I just replaced the stock pump as well as a brand new filter and fuel sending unit.

C3Duece, I think ///AMGSC is trying to get to 450 crank horsepower, but correct me if I'm wrong. I think with his mods, the NeedsWings intake would help to further increase hp. The crank pulley with those shorty headers and a very free flowing exhaust are probably very close to a level of power where it's going to be a bit difficult to get much more out. Stacking pulleys might be an option but to be honest, I don't know all the side effects than can occur.

Let me know how those headers work out for you and how much difference you feel and hear. If you haven't installed them yet and are planning on doing them yourself, maybe do a detailed DIY (especially since I'm going to be installing my shorty set in a few weeks )

Your build is awesome so far!

Yup, you're right! I figured the stage 2 would be around 425 and the tweaked intake manifolds they claim gives another 20 and with the added intake hopefully another 7/10 I guess. Definitely not going to stack pulleys though, everyone's told me stay away from the crank lol

The shop is gonna install the headers because they'll have my car on the lift while I'm away for spring break but I'll definitely have them take pics of everything for you. They're gonna take down the exhaust to try and replicate another one and ship it to someone in Oregon/Washington, think it may be another forum member.

Appreciate it

Thinking about copying your taillights with the s-class style LEDs

I've been getting an error for my low beam in the passenger side headlight so I'm going to take that out and unplug everything when I install the grill. I went to Mercedes and they said they couldn't touch it because it was aftermarket but they suggested I try cleaning with sandpaper as the connection might be weak. I think that's why it's flickering and not constant because I could see it was dirty just from peeking under the hood. Will give an update next sunday.
