noise from dash? fans
hi
went to view a c55 amg today and when I turned the air con to cold and moved the air flow off screen to centre vents, there was a clicking noise from behind the centre dash for about 20 seconds, fairly loud. dealer (not MB) says its the fans opening and closing for 20 seconds and is normal. is that correct? also SHOULDNT THE REAR TYRE SIZE BE 255/35/18 . This uk car had 245/35/18 tyres

ah, didn't think it should.... guy said it was the fans and I was like "really" that unusual. Thanks for confirming tyre size.... some uk tyre websites state the tyre size as 255 which is what confused me.

well just to update and yes frejo 2 independent specialists told me the same or the plastic arms maybe. Both said to get the dealer to fix it before buying.
Well ended up telling them I didn't want the car in the end. Wasn't happy with them telling me it was normal and told them what the specialists said. Suddenly they were aware it was a problem but they said they never fixed them because of the trouble.
Any way I lost confidence and felt they might be hiding something else. Also when I asked to take it for a drive on a dual carriageway so I could see what it was like at 70 mph ( uk) I was told there were no roads like that around, yet I know for a fact there was.
