Anybody ever race an NSX in the C32?

I owned a C32 for two years and STILL have my 2000 Red/Tan NSX-T
You guys speak of what you HAVE NEVER OWNED!
My NSX is STOCK. My best 1/4 mile time is 12.9 at 108.
My C32's BEST time was 13.4
My NSX could pull on my C32 all day long.
Sorry guys, but if your C32 comes up against a 3.2L NSX you better watch out. Especially if it's on the highway.

Armchair racing is fun. But I don't condone it
It's Russian roulette with the NSX, there are 1998/1999 test cars that are much quicker than the rest of the test year examples. http://www.car-stats.com/stats/default.aspx
The majority of tests show the NSX as a little slower than C32: ALL of the earlier tests, and even the later 2002 test.
So looks like odds are in the C32's favor by about 5to1, just like russian roulette. That is why JR's? is faster but most report C32 wins here.
The 1999 Zanardi Edition hits 150 in 34.7 sec the C32 in 33.7 or 34. But the 1998 NSX is fastest to 150 at 28.2!
Looks like everyone is right, but due to the NSX 's great variation over the years the odds are with the more consistent C32.
Non-stock is a whole new discussion.

Agree on all counts. Later NSX vs C32 should be one of the closer contests available to C32 owners. Its right up there with stock MKIV Supra turbo 6 speeds, current M3s or M5s with an extra passenger, etc.

well... japanese products always have good spec numbers...
the 12.9@108 probably launched very hard for the nsx... with very high skill, which likely can only hit 1 out of 10 launch.
we don't need very high skill to pull 13@107...
and if we change our RON setting back to 93...
that's 12.9@108 too...
so i quite agree to RRF's russian roulette idea...
and we our kompressor engine should do even better in cooler places.
but still... NSX is the best japanese sports car avavaible.
but i wouldn't buy a honda with that price...
Maserati or E55 would be my choice
i guess people who own newer nsx are the owner of the dealer.

that's the only performance difference people say, compared to the euro spec tested by autoweek.
did you use 93 octane fuel? or u still have 91 octane in the tank?
the 0-100mph and top out time they tested out is way better than north america spec... imagine it is faster than e46 m3.
one tenth and one more mile is alot on racing i guess...
and they did 4.8 sec to reach 60 mph.
it's just a RON switch... not performance chip... those gained # sound reasonable ... and imagine you just switched to 2 octane higher only...

You guys might say all day that the NSX should beat the C32, the fact is that I myself didn't read a magazine, I raced the guy, he had two chances and he lost both times.
Will this happen all the time? -I don't know.
Are there better drivers than him? -may be so
do I care? -No
Acomplice8, just do it, go out there and race a NSX and see it for yourself

Accomplice8,
I think your friend must of let of the gas in the Viper.... there is NO way a C32 (stock or mildly modded) could keep up on the highway vs a GENII Viper....

I raced a 91 NSX last weekend.... once on the street, from stop went about 1/4 miles, we were about the same... then we went to ther highway, raced 3 more times from about 65mph rolling... beat him by about 3ft everytime....
Before I raced him I thought I was going to get my butt wipped... he is my friend and just bought the car used. But the result suprised me....
Oh and I actually have a 1999 CLK430 with very minor mods...
