Where to find a front upper grille, C55 AMG
hey guys, brand new to the forum, so my apologies if this has already been posted :/. But I'm really in need of a front upper grille (the 4 slat stock/original) for my '06 baby. Anyone know where I could pick one up, or order from online? Dealer wants outrageous amounts for something that takes maybe 5 minutes to install...I've checked with LKQ, and General sites like eBay, but nothing.

Google can get you a few online MB parts outlets. This one has worked for me. Otherwise you might just need to save an eBay search for your part, and wait to see what comes up.

Replaced both the upper and lower grills on my C55.

I replaced the upper and lower grills trim pieces on my 2005 C55 due to my previous job which required travel on roads which rock haulers frequently traveled on.
I plan on taking my car in to a body shop to get over 100,000 miles of daily driving rock chips, parking lot dings and other similar wear taken care of, but for now, I decided to go ahead and replace the grill pieces on my own, especially since the lower grill cracked in half and lost a chunk of chrome trim. It looked like my car got in a fight and lost.
The upper C55 SPECIFIC grill part number is: 2038801183
I purchased mine from ECSTuning.com and it was a very simple DIY installation.
The lower C55 SPECIFIC grill part number is: 2038801383

Rahul...we must have the same exact car. I just picked mine up and the paint is toast. The PO drove behind a gravel truck for 40 miles a day, 5 days a week. I just replaced my front grill with the CLK one due to the grille was starting to delaminate and looked like crap. The car will be going into the body shop soon for a lot of touch up and can't wait.
