Hi guys,

I noticed the stock C55s aren't flush to the fenders so I was wondering if anyone used wheel spacers? What was your experience with them?

Also please post any before/after pictures you have

I used spacers, but not with stock wheels. If you look through my 'build' thread (link in sig), there are more details on that. The posts were from about a year ago, so you have to go back a few pages.

I was very pleased with the product from Motorsport-Tech, they built the spacers (5mm) custom for my application - I was very keen to ensure they were both hub and wheel centric to avoid any vibration issues. I don't recall exactly, but I'm fairly certain my spacers would not fit stock wheels because I had them made for the OZs I run, and they have a bit larger diameter centre bore, if memory serves. That said, the OZs had roughly similar offsets to stock, even with wider widths.

I did have to grind and roll the fender lip at the rear, as it's quite on the limit for fitment with 255s. But if I didn't run the spacers at the rear, it probably would have been fine.

My car's on stock suspension too, and no desire to go lower.

I'm currently running Ichiba 10mm spacers front and back with my stock OEM wheels and stock suspension. I really have no negatives to report. The car, to me, definitely looks better now. There is no difference in handling that I can notice. One thing I do notice, however, is more road debris and rubber accumulating on my rear bumper. This, no doubt, is due to the the wider track. I've had spacers on my previous vehicles also and have never had an issue. I don't think I would go wider than 10mm on the C55 -- especially if you run a wider tire (IE: 255).

I run C55 wheels on my car and use 10M spacers FR/R and it makes a world of diff in looks. Soo much better. My rear fenders are rolled from when I ran 19's though.

You will have to get longer lugs too.
