2003 c32 rear diff troubles

Hey guys, my diff has gone out in 03 c32. I went to a local junkyard that I found on car-part.com and bought a diff. Looks exactly the same, but when I get home, I can't get the axles in all the way. There is still like an inch of axles shaft biw going into the diff. Could this be a 2002 diff? Are 2002 axles shorter since they are Clip on??

I have a 2002 diff with 2003 axles. Your problem is something else. Check the part numbers on the diff. Are you doing the work yourself?

Yea im doing the work myself. I don't know what part numbers to check as there are a bunch of them. The case numbers match. But many cars use that same case. I opened the diff up and got the number on the gear but I couldn't find anything. Its like the axles just won't go in anymore. Doesn't make sense to me.

Ughhhhh I'm so frustrated. I finally got this damn diff into the piece of junk. Everything bolted up fine. I just wasn't pushing the axles hard enough.

Anyways. Go to drive and bam P0720. Wrong gear ratio. Wrong diff. The cover was the same part number... Any ideas what kind of diff this could be?? What other diff's bolt into a c32. I'm thinking about getting towed to Euro charged and see if jerry can just reprogram my TCU.

Any ideas. Plz Lenin I needz halpz

Maybe now is the time to get on the Quaife LSD group buy.
The ratio for the C32 is 1:3.06. You might have gotten the 3.27 diff. The cover should have A2103513008. But as you know that is used on a bunch of cars. The gear set should be A2203502939. What part numbers do you see?

Wrong part. Looks like you have a 2.65 gear ratio. Here are all the car models that use this housing:
