Check Engine Light
I was driving last night, and the check engine light suddenly came up. The car feels fine, and the only thing I can think of is whenever I start the car after its been parked for more than 5 hours, I get a lot of smoke coming from my exhaust. so much that I can see if from my side mirrors and my rear view mirror. i looked in the manual, and it said that the check engine comes on when there are problems with the emissions.
has anyone had the check engine light come on? i'm at 33k miles, and my B service is coming up. do you think it is okay for me to drive the car for a week or two before bringing it in? i appreciate your help.

At least you know what the problem is, you know you are not alone, and you won't have to pay for it (and presumably they will correct the problem when they repair yours so that it does not occur again. . . especially after the warranty expires). If your car is going to be in the hospital next Saturday, we can either hit the track another day or just take my car. Let me know.

Check Engine Lite
Yeah, I'm going in this Thursday for the third "check engine" light. Just 200 miles ago I had it in and they replaced the supercharger pulley (broken into pieces, they say), and the air pump. I'll let everyone know what's wrong this time. '02 with 20k on the clock.
