MAF and TPS Codes
Long story short, I've got a check engine light and my C320 occasionally doesn't respond to throttle input and the engine dies shortly after startup. This happens intermittently. I can start up the car and have this issue, turn it off, restart it and it will be fine.
I've retrieved the following codes:
P0101 pending: Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Range/Performance Problem
P0102: Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input
P0123 pending: Throttle/Petal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit High Input
P0171 pending: System Too Lean (Bank 1)
P0221 pending: Throttle/Petal Position Sensor/Switch B Circuit Range/Performance Problem
I bought a new Bosch MAF and will probably install it tomorrow morning, but I'm not confident that that will fix my issue. I'm thinking about ordering a new accelerator pedal module with sensor if the new MAF doesn't help, but I want to first know if that's the only throttle sensor that can trigger the P0123 and P0221 codes. I would assume there is also some sort of sensor near the throttle body that would be related but I'm not sure if it would trigger these codes. If it would, then it's curious that I'm getting codes for two sensors that are right next to each other (the MAF and the TPS).
Any info or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
