Missing Fuses--which are supposed to be there?

![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
So, I've had my C55 for just over a year.
I'm not a Car Girl yet, so forgive me if this is a dumb question.
While looking into another issue, I discovered that I have a lot of missing fuses.
Some don't seem relevant (like trailer lights??) but some seem like they might be, like the ones labeled transmission electronics.
How do I know which I should have??![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Also, some of them are upside down. Apart from offending my OCD tendencies, is that a problem?
Thanks for any help,
~Marci

MBWorld Fanatic!
There are a lot of different features offered for these cars depending on what was ordered and what market the car is in. Have you found anything that does not work? If not you are probably fine. Oh and the orientation of the fuse makes no difference.

Thanks for the reply!
if I put a fuse in that isn't necessary will that hurt anything??
I noticed that the two fuses labeled "transmission electronics" are missing and sometimes my transmission does seem to behave oddly...so I was going to get the proper voltage fuses and pop them in, in hopes it fixes the weirdness.

If your transmission is behaving oddly you may want to think about doing a service. Ebay has great prices on oem transmission oil (fuchs titan 3353 http://www.ebay.com/itm/361400583196?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT ) and oem filter, conductor plate, connector, and pan gasket(http://www.ebay.com/itm/321649020493?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT ). If you decide to do the service yourself just do research there are a few on youtube or if you decide to get it done by a shop make sure they'll allow you to bring your own parts if you go the cheaper ebay way.
As far as fuses are concerned youll probably get codes coming up on your dash if there was one out, there is a sensor for just about everything on these cars so if there is an issue im sure youd see it on your display. If there are any fuses that have burnt ears, or are damaged its always good practice to change them as well as keeping a comprehensive fuse kit in your car incase one goes out. Other wise I wouldn't worry too much about that and look more into when your last transmission service was done especially if its been acting up.

Blade
