C55 AMG
New C55 AMG
Hey all, well I went a total of 24 hours without a C55 over the weekend. Hehe.
Got a lovely black one with some lovely mods on it:
H&R coilovers
Bigger air intakes
Remap (Made 404bhp and 414lbs/ft with renntech airbox)
Carbon Fibre Interior trim
Facelift CLK grille, flat bonnet badge
OEM wheels in gunmetal grey with polished lip
Kick down switch (new to me)
Illuminated door sills (which don't work at the mo lol)
Just cleaned, polished and waxed it.
Got a few cosmetic things to sort, the wheel bolts are nasty with rust, and the rear calipers could do with some love, got LED sidelights on the way and the number plate surrounds are falling off a little. Also got a problem with the passenger side trim rattling when the speaker is working, and the illuminated door sills aren't working.
Fitted the correct bonnet latch, as the stock C55 one was catching on the grille.
Its on 64,000 miles now.

Sharp looking C55 you have there! I believe those are the CLK550 tubes? The Renntech Airbox with a tune definitely made a difference on mine! Get a Quaife lsd and you'll be set....

Yeah it does feel a little quicker than the silver one I had. Its probably around 390 with the standard airbox now on.
You could be right there wawy, a quick google looks like the same intakes on the clk 550.
Not sure on the LSD, I do want to mod the exhaust for a bit more noise in future.
