Secondary Cat delete and resonator questions

Hi guys, im itching to get these mods done on my newer C55. I had the same done on my silver one, and I loved it. But theres one problem. It used to wake up my folks on cold starts in the morning. Its pretty dam loud on a cold engine.

Have I got any other options? Has anyone fitted a valve system? Ive seen systems for the C63. I have been quoted £800 for a custom valved setup, but its gonna take some work. Seems a lot of effort just to stop the noise when its cold. When its warm there is no problem.

I think id like to just 'gut' the secondary cats and silencer and get them re-welded in, so it looks stock so I don't have any problems come M.O.T time. Still got the problem of cold starts though.

Nope

Im thinking about just gutting the secondary cats first and seeing what its like.

has anyone just done this. could really do with a cold engine startup video of this, would be really helpful.

I would not gut the cats if I were you. You will be having two empty large chambers where turbulence is created. Some owners have done that and reported issues (rough idle, power loss...)
When deleting the converters, I suggest you install a normal exhaust pipe (same diameter as the exhaust) instead of gutting the cats.

Good luck

just clip the secondaries and leave the resonator and see how you like it.
