Question about our Sound System
Hey all,
I just received my multimedia stuff (screen, dvd player, cd changer, tv tuner) and I was wondering if I could just replace the factory deck with the stuff i got. I understand that our system uses digital fibre optics(?) to make it function.
My question is, to make everything work, would I now have to purchase a new Amplifier plus speakers/subs ???

Due to lack of funds, I was originally plannin on keeping the Bose setup (minus the H/U and CD Changer) until I can afford new speakers/subs/amps.
However, the audio store that I went to said that my Screen, DVD Player, etc.. would not be compatible because Benz uses fibre optics for its wirings. They said I would need to possibly get a new Amp and/or speakers to make everything function properly. I was wondering if there was any way around this (if true).
I've already read about purchasing VW/Audi adapter to make the H/U work with the Bose setup?

I own a 2003 C32 AMG with the Bose system and 6CD Changer.
I plan on putting in:
Sony 7" Screen (XAV-77)
Sony DVD/MP3 player (DVX-11A) with TV tuner
Sony 10 CD Changer.

It needs to be rewired. Get a wireing harness.
Also a FM modulator to the head unit could work.
I am not an audio expert, but I think this will work.
