Moving from the 203 to a 212
Guys,
I can't thank you all enough for the wonderful wit and technical know how I benefited from in this forum over the ten years I owned and modded my 2005 C55 AMG. Thank-You!
My C55 car aged out, but still in great shape but with 167,000 miles, my four year old, my wife and I felt better with 4 wheel drive. So, I sold the C55 walked over to the dark side and bought a 2014 E350 Sport 4Matic with 16k miles. Strangely enough, with 302hp, that six cylinder has the same horse power and better 0-60 times than my old V8 C43 AMG -- obviously, the E350 does not drive or handle in any way close to the C55 or C43, but being older and less inclined to burn things up, I like the comfortable ride quite a bit, get enough of a kick out of the faster shifting 7 speed tranny and accelerate out of the curves just fine with permanent 4-wheel drive.
In any case, I'll be over at the W212 forum and will check the postings here periodically to see what's going on and am happy to help if I can with any questions about the C55.
