Ring, ring, tick, tick ,ring ,tick....
I want to remove the factory-fitted phone from my car (cos it's 'kin ugly & I don't use it).
The dealer says no prob - £20 ($36) to replace the trim to the side of the centre console (the bit the phone holder is screwed to), and wait for it...........£250 ($455) labour!!!!
Can anyone advise me if this is an easy enough job for me to do? I'm fairly adept/handy, but will I need any special tools? In fact what will I have to do?

Also I believe I have this ticking problem that the dealer doesn't seem interested in (they say they can't hear it
). If I'm taking the dash apart to sort the phone issue, can I resolve the ticking prob at the same time?
