C55 Won't Burnout?
C55 will not burnout in manual, comfort or sports modes, traction control kicks in and limits power even with the ESP disabled when any sort of brake/gas overlap is detected. This sucks for drag racing on radials or slicks. Dyno mode is one way around it but you're almost certainly guaranteed to ruin only one of your tires since the limited slip effect is disabled. It will not drift either, a few seconds after going sideways the traction and stability control kicks in, cuts the power and applies brakes. Kind of a bummer, I love getting sideways and this thing has enough power to do it in 2nd gear all day long.
It will roast tires off the line no problem, esp off and go, transmission mode doesn't matter, just floor it enough to hit the kickdown switch.
People digging up year old threads to blather nonsense just isn't helping the forum.
BTW, my C55 will do a brake stand in C, S, and M.

What's the build date on yours? Mine is 11/2004. They probably removed this limitation on newer cars.
I had this issue on my c43. even on wet surface the car had trouble breaking loose
I dont usually like to do burnouts so I have no idea if it still has that problem.
Must be nice haha, my C55 won't do a standing burning out without dyno mode engaged.
Sad.
