C32 AMG, C55 AMG (W203) 2001 - 2007

2004 C32 Engine wont turn over, please help.

2004 C32 AMG
2004 C32 several codes, please help.

2004 C32 AMG engine will not turn over, shifter is stuck in park. everything else works. I have tried 2 different batteries (one is brand new)
Here are the codes i am getting:
P2300, CAN communication with other control units installed is not possible.
C1410, Road test active.
DTC status: fault indicator lamp on
C1020, Fault or defect in CAN communication.
DTC status: Fault indicator lamp on.
C1140, (171) B34/1 ESP pressure sensor 1) electrical fault or B34 ESP brake pressure sensor electrical fault.
DTC status: Fault indicator lamp on.
C1035, The signal from component N49 steering angle sensor is faulty.
DTC status: Fault indicator lamp is on.
C1038, Engine control module not identified or incorrect control module.
DTC status: current and stored.
C1023, Fault in CAN communication with control unit N15/3 ETC EGS control unit.
DTC status: current and stored
C1029 Fault in CAN communication with control unit N73 EIS EZS control unit.
DTC status: current and stored.
C1027, CAN communication with the engine system is faulty
DTC status: fault indicator lamp on.
B1856, Speed signal from module KIW implausible.
B1060, Lenght adjustment standardization error.
B1066, Roof system is not normalized
DTC status: current and stored.
B1100, Engine canbus: CAN bus off
DTC status: current and stored.

What is going on here?

Wow a 04. Rarest year nice!

I had the opposite problem as you but my car wouldn't go into reverse or park. Id have to wait it out sometimes or open the shifter up and pick on it (there is a post about it here on forums) My mechanic told me to replace the shifter unit inside the car, i never did and needed up selling it...the next owner told me he spent about 1000 to get it working but i was pretty sure replacing it would've fixed the problem and in your case it could be something different but any advice is always good...

Gearshifter

Replace the gearshifter and most chances the codes will all go away.
Thats what happened to me.

You had a similar issue as mine and a gearshifter replacement fixed it?

Thank you very much for your help, i would have never guessed that the gearshifter would be bad. my guess was a bad ECM
