The dealer I was working with called me back today to let me know that the C32 '04 with everything I want (i.e., Command, Lighting Package, Sliver/Black, 15K annual miles for a lease, $3K down) can be mine if I'm still interested.

The problem with this is I had an opportunity last month to get this car with a special 2% interest rate from "Chase" but the special expired while I was waiting for another guy to make up his mind on the same car! He had first pick and then decided to back out I guess - that *******.

So now, I've been quoted the following price...

About $863 per month for a 48 month lease (money factor was .00270 though) I have EXCELLENT credit, my FICO score last week was rated 789 and 6.5% interest doesn't appeal to me AT ALL!

So, wait for the C55, which is what I was planning on doing or grab this last offer for my chance to get a C32 and not have to wait? What do you guys/gals think?

If your dealer can get you a C55 within the next 6 months, then I think you should get the C55 (although I really think the biggest improvement of the C55 vs. C32 has a lot to do with cosmetic changes than mechancical upgrades. Personally, I wouldnt get a C55, but this is provided that I am already driving a C32). Your case is bit different, if you get the C32 now, I think you will be disappointed that in a few months, facelifted C55s are all over the place and you're only driving a discontinued C32.

And the C55 instrument panel looks a lot better too!

The only advantage of getting a C32 now over a C55 in a bit is if you're wanting to get a bit more power by doing a few mods. Simple pulley mods can easily add power to the C32 while I suspect the it will be more difficult and expensive to get more power out of the C55.
