Rear X-drilled rotors

Anyone have these rear X-drilled rotors on their C32? they are a quality piece in that the holes are made at the time of casting. Lets see a pic !

It is easy, I once popped one off to take a look at the parking brake mechanism.

BTW make sure the parking brake is addressed in the new rotor design. It is a small drum-brake like setup on the inner portion of the disk rotor assembly.

$59.83 ea.

Maybe we can get Harris or Evosport to do a Group Buy?

Now that I can see, they are zimmerman which has a good rep for xdrilled aftermarket rotors.

Anyone know if the parking brake has been accounted for like rrf noted?

Group buy anyone?

picture would have been nice as well to see the driled pattern.

I'm interested. Would love to also find a nicer, replacement caliper for the rear.

Will it fit a C320 rear or is it too big?

OK!

$100 for the set: 2 rear x drilled zimmerman rotors.

Need 10 or more to join in.

They have plenty in stock so we dont have to wait around.

They also accomodate the rear parking brake so that is not a problem.

Post here if you want in 100% for sure, no flakes or this will not go through.

Hey s4iscool,

Is there going to be shipping and tax? The price on the website is $120 with no tax and free shipping! just want to know if I am really saving anything.

it would be $100 shipped. I went ahead and orderd mine for full price. Looked like it would take forever to get enough interest for a measly $20 discount.

Im worried about the rusting that people claim, but im sure a coat of rustoleum or engine enamel in the fins and hat would eliminate this. The rotor surface is going to rust no matter what rotor you have...unless its cermic

Where did you see the concerns about rusting? Did you ever get a pic?

This stemed from Silvas quote on mbklasse.com but th emore i think about it, all rotors will rust unless you have ceramic rotors. The pad sweep area wont be affected so its just the hat and the fins that may rust (normal). Im painting my rear calipers so it wont be hard to do the rotors before slapping them on

Agreed.

Let us know how they look when you get them installed. I think I will wait and see how yours turn out before ordering mine.

rotor hats

when i picked up my 02 with 5K miles the rear rotor was caked black along with the all the rotor hats. i bought brake cleaner and used a small wire brush to spray (outside of course ) and brush the gunk off. i then used some medium grit water sand paper and finished the hats. final cleaning with brakeen then 3 coats of hi heat clear laquer (pep boys). it has a beautiful metal finish and has held up well- no rust at all.

i also painted the rear caliper with silver hi heat paint and it still looks perfect.

i'll check the exact name of the paint tonite. i've tried a few in past yrs but this works well.
