Cold Start Engine Shut Off Issue
Hey Everyone,
So I've been experiencing this problem for a while. The car after starting cold would rev erratically and shut off if you attempt to drive. After the engine temperature gets to the middle (after it warms up), the car will be fine. My work around was keeping my foot on the brake and keep the car reving a little above 1000 rpm. After checking the forums, I've tried changing the crank shaft sensor and after taking it to my indy mechanic (Mercedes specialist) he found an error code concerning the MAF so we replaced that and some other miscellaneous tubes. After that this was no longer an issue (about 4 months ago). Recently the oil started mixing with coolant and the radiator was leaking due to a crack. I got that fixed, new radiator, some tubes and a new thermostat. After fixing the radiator the cold start engine shut off started again!
I'm going to take the car to the shop again, to see if its the MAF, but has anyone experienced anything like this? If so whats the fix?
Thanks!
