Same, will not get another AMG. that's what i said before, when a new C230 sedan as nice as my C32 park right beside me, same colour. I was pissed, and you guys pissed me off even more saying how the C32 differs blah blah blah blah, like i'm being an @$$.

That car is as cheap as an C240 in Canada...
I love AMG, but now MB is having something cheap and nice...

you guys bought the car for all the wrong reason.

you do realize AMG has been a out side tuner like the Brabus and Carlsson, etc. unlike the M Gmbh for BMW which has always been an in house tuner. With that said, AMG's not going to abandon its original customer by limiting their bodykits and other goodies only to the pure AMG cars.

06 E55 current, M5 Sold, C32 Sold, 330xi Sold
for those that think that the m3 dosnt look like the 330 you are wrong i just sold my 330xi i put a mtech kit on it every where i went people asked me if that was a m3 even thou i had 4 doors and a 330xi badge on the car... The C32 is a nice car and it does look like the reg C but its whats inside of the car that makes it diffrent.. i love having a C32 since no one knows what it is and people just dont expect a benz to come up from behind and just rape cars on the road like a stock 911.. its just awsome!! as for the C55 its kinda gehy that they redid the car with it being sold for only 3 years

Well I own a C32 and the 04 C230K Sedan

Put it this way, The only one who drives the C230 is my Fiance.

No Comparison in ANY anyway.

It does blow the C240 away

AMG is owned by Benz, so it's not as exclusive as it used to be.
AMG Benz is the 20,000 dollar club, basically 20K more than the non AMG base model.
AMG is homogenized by aftermarket.
AMG is whored by replicas.

All in all just a huge way for ppl to make millions.
I love my AMG C32, and if they did not produce AMG we would all be driving BWM or Audi. God help us.

the 330pp does add some hp, the front body kit is actually the same bumper from the M coupe and M roadster

and the sideview mirrors are still different on the non M models

I dont like it much either personally

and I saw the New C class inside a mall

it really does look VERY similar to the C32 amg, but I haven't had a chance to check for the subtle things that differentiate the 2 models yet

so would you have bought the C32 IF there was the C230k available with the AMG bodykit?

I know my choice would still be the C32.

so there you have it. you didn't bought the C32 because of the look along, but because of the overall pkg.

so why get all worked up w/ MB introducing the 05 C230k sport w/ AMG bodykit?

A couple things...

An M3 does not look like a 330xi unless you're in the right hand lane watching them both whiz by you. If you (the general you, not the specific you) know anything at all about E46's, you'd know how to spot the differences right away.

Buying an AMG is kinda like buying an Audi S car. It's what's under the hood, etc., that matters, not what's badged on the outside. I got the feeling that AMG and S owners wanted relative anonymity. That was actually one aspect that appealed to me about the C32. The deal breaker was the lack of manual transmission offering.

Performance is the big difference. They might look alike but they don't perform the same. If your buying a car just for looks then you get the C230 sport sedan. If your going for performance you have to purchase the C32. You can't compare the performance. I'm proud I have a AMG, when I see the C230 I feel superior

i'm..

i'm ok with the whole situation now, boy i was pissed when i saw it.....irrationally i was even feeling like buying one for a moment- until the brain engaged.

i just need to lower my c32 in the front by 1 inch. i test fitted 235/40-18 potenza S0-3s with a 25 ET 8" rim and it sticks out a bit. with 30ET it will line up perfect with the fender lip. it looks awesome even now.

i'll have 265/35-18 in back. they are gonna be w i d e and sheer hi po looking. and, guess what- i have the grunt to spin them. and if i can't spin them then - well- i would have vanished in the distance.

let's see c230k do that.
