I normally charge between. 515 to 545 depending what the box costed me at eBay. With bell mouths add $80.00 more which shoots it to 595 to 625. Lot of work for little profit for ME.
So I dont want to add them anymore. Unless someone is willing to pay for them to make it worth to me. Which will be 120.00.
However, I'm NOT going to sell the box without a bell mouth. Working on this now a days will post soon.

I ordered one for my C55, and waiting to visit USA end this month to meet delivery, so I have not received it yet. I can say that George is very patient, and I understand his quest to craft an improved airflow himself. Once on, I will be dynoing again, only difference between last numbers will be his airbox, new MAF, and colder weather. I am looking forward to it, will post results, and if there has been an improvement I believe what he does is a bargain considering the mess and noise this type of activity creates, as he builds them one by one.

I have been monitoring speed43's progress on the airbox mod and when he added the bell mouths I pulled the trigger. After a week or so of driving I can unequivocally recommend the product. It is my seat of the pants impression that the car simply runs better across the band and pulls better in the low 2's. I have a EuroCharged tune, ported elbow and free flowing filters and at WOT the tach sails and I think I hear more of a snarl from the beast. If you have the $ I think this is a great bang/buck enhancement!

Thanks for the review, hope to get into the clk forums as well.
I almost have one c55 box ready to ship. $375.00 with customer sending me their air box upon receiving mine. Or I can sell out right for $545.00.
Thanks.

At this price no. But it will make 10HP10TQ. The ones with the bell mouths did not get dynoed so don't know how much more it made. And only 5 people were able to afford the 625 tag.
Rob, let me know if you're interested by a private message. Thanks.

After receiving delivery of speed43 airbox, finally installed it (the elbow will have to wait for next service).
I was nervous there would be too little clearance and may damage underside of hood so insisted George make mine only .75" higher with bellmouth instead of his usual 1", thus performance gains likely little bit less, and now that it is on the car I realize should have trusted him.
In any event, after day or so driving, computer must have adjusted or something, because car sounds different, and feels faster most noticeably at highway speeds when needing to overtake.
Started with K&N filters, all cats removed and ECM dyno tune at slightly disappointing 219kw/295rwhp.
Now with airbox, and after install elbow, new plugs and MAF, will dyno again and post results.

UPDATE;
Still waiting for colder weather before another dyno, but installed speed43 free flow elbow, new colder #3 Autolite plugs, new MAF, 5W/40 synthetic and filter, along with his airbox.
Top speed in 2nd and 3rd gears now higher.
This setup likes the stock filters better than K&N for some reason.

thx for pointing that out. ecu tune which might have raised the redline a bit, plus slightly larger diameter rear rim tire (25.2" versus 24.8")

Two different dynos, headscratcher results;
Back in Jan deleted all cats, so did before and after ECM tune, 219kw/850nm.
Then yesterday, with speed43 airbox/elbow, much cleaner K&N’s, new plugs and MAF, 210kw/950nm.
Want to understand how on two dynos, reads with so much torque (950nm = 700lbs ft).
And I suppose how got less power, when it should have gone up.
Any feedback welcome…

Different day different dyno will read differently.
The only way to get accurate dyno results is to run the car, then mod, then run the car again, even then it can still read differently due to ambient temps and humidity.
The nM measurement will need to be divided by the diff ratio and the gear ratio of the gear it was dynoed to give wheel torque.
Also remember that the 367hp from the factory is at the engine, so more like 280hp to the wheels out of the box.
I have been thinking about one of these airboxes, how much was the shipping to NZ?

i waited until was in usa, then brought it back in suitcase. erm. if you're nearby (i'm in akl), maybe we could race, you could check out the airbox and allows me to see if my car goes as it should (022-371-5811)
