OEM Intercooler Pump - How loud and strong should it be?
I bought a new OEM Bosch IC pump and jumped the IC pump to the battery to see how it would perform. It emitted the same faint whirring sound as my original IC pump. Impeller spins fine, but not as strong or loud as I thought it should be. Is that normal behavior of a good working pump?

Yes 010 pump. Pretty sure it's not the secondary pump--car off entire time. I directly jumped the pump to the battery to test it in my hand, nothing but the whirring/humming sound of the impeller spinning, albeit what appears weak to me.

Since it is not designed to pump air that is not a good way to check. Put the suction side in a bucket of water and see how fast it fills another bucket. Should only take 20s or so to pump 2gal or more. I'm guessing at the rate as it has been many years since I tried it.
