C55 replacement bumper

Ive done hours of searching and have ended up more confused than i started. Im finally getting around to replacing the bumper on my 2006 C55 amg and want to make sure i get the right one that will fit. Apparently if i order it new, its $1400 so im trying to get one from salvage. Ive found one with part number 2038855025. Will this actually fit my car? Please help or point me in the right direction to confirm. There is a lot of conflicting info out there on this. Thank you!

Is yours damaged? It should cost around $1000. Where are you sourcing $1400? I cracked mine and licked up a brand new CLK63 front bumper a few years back for $1100 for just the bumper. I think all in for paint hardware and bumper I paid $1500

My new front bumper was just over $1,500.00 from the dealer.

Honestly, I'm not willing to buy a new bumper for the car. I've had it for nine years now and am not sure how much longer I will have it. It could be a year or it could be 30 years. It's been a great car, one of the most reliable I've ever had.

The $1,400 was the dealer price. I was looking at buying a bumper from salvage for about $400 but as I mentioned in the original post I am not sure what part numbers will ACTUALLY fit my car. From what I remember, the car front clip is closer to a CLK than a standard C-Class. A lot of the part sourcing websites show that the bumpers will fit BOTH a C350 and a C55, so I am trying to make sure that I get one that will fit my car.

It's in the shop for another fix right now and there is some efficiency to getting the front bumper replaced right now. The air splitter on the bottom is broken and the body shop was unable to repair it.

Please let me know any resources I can use to know which part numbers will actually fit the car.

Thank you!

Where did you get the CLK bumper for that price? Sorry to thread jack.

On topic, you can grab pretty much any used w209 CLK bumper but it won't be an AMG bumper unless you pull from a car with the sport style or AMG CLK front bumper.

Hi....in case you haven't found the correct part number, I'm including a picture of my actual collision estimate for my C55. My insurance company was great and after paying my deductible, I bought all of the parts and R&R all of the parts after have my oem front bumper (comes primer gray) painted with oem MB paint.

In all, total time (excluding drop-off bumper, painting, and pick-up bumper), was 8 hours, excluding re-making CF Canards and installing those as well as the CF front lip.

By the way, go to this MB dealer's website for online pricing which the attachment is now $969. Depending upon your location, shipping may be $200.

Let me know if this helps.....
