C55 AMG weird noises??

Hi, i just got a c55 and im new to the MB world. Is it normal for these cards to make a whineing noise? It sound like its coming from the transmission but the transmission seems normal. When i step on the accelerator it goes away but at idle it is whining away and its fairly loud. Im a former BMW M guy and i know those engines sound like diesel motors lol. Also when i turn the wheel i get a brrrrrrrr. Not sure if its the power steering pump or the belt. IT only happens when im stopped and turn the wheel. Any advice would be great guys. I gotta say the c55 is a really cool car and im a happy to be a MB amg owner.

My C55 makes the whining noise too but it does it constantly. Kinda sounds like a supercharger.

Apparently its normal. Lets see what others have to say.

The whining noise is probably the same emmisions pump that's started whining on my car. Even the dealer said to ignore it until it threw a code or affected drivability.

The PS pumps are notoriously weak on these cars. A full-lock donut in winter on fresh snow can kill them. Ask me how I know. Have read of others running into the same issue as well. My guess is yours is possibly on its way out. Be gentle and you may get some miles out of it yet.
