Too bad their is not close up picture showing the clearance from the top of the tire to fender lip taken from the rear of front.

As for the replicas, they don't replicate anything BBS makes, including the RGR or GT2's.

Sorry the pics are low quality. My digi cam was acting up so I used my phone. The wheels are not BBS but I got BBS center caps made to fit the centers...Hope you like the pics.

Just wondering, c32_infatuation, who makes the BBS replica that you're running and were there any fitment issues?

thanks,
Jon

ADR makes them, they have a good price on wheelmax.com. The only fitment issue was the front brake with the offset. They put a 12mm spacer to make sure it didn't hit the brake. I just recently learned that the spacer was put on it, after the fronts didn't fit, I was told that they got new wheels but I took the front off yesterday and saw the spacer. I was wondering if this is ok to run? Should I take it back?

The wheel sizes are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5

It is one thing to put a MB logo center cap on a replica MB wheel and try to pass it off as an original. It would also be acceptable to some for you to put custom MB logo center caps on a set of HRE's for that custom factory look. It might be OK for you to put MB center caps on your 7 spoke aftermarket wheels for an original look. But to put BBS center caps on an aftermarket wheel that looks nothing like a BBS wheel is just plain wrong. BBS does not make a mesh 7 spoke wheel. The RGR, RSII, RX, RXII, RC and RS-GT wheels are all 8 spoke. The GT2 (three piece magnisium race wheel) and the LM are 10 spoke. The RGR has a rounded and integrated center lug section as well, which yours does not have. It is an insult to BBS and all the owners of BBS wheels to badge your wheels as you have done. No different than putting HRE center caps on your wheels.

I never got the ambition to route out the center caps. I tried designing a MB star but it was out of proportion and simply writting BBS in the routing program seemed easy enough. My dad got wheels for his TT porsche and had the porsche emblem painted in and it looked awesome. I'll probably end up getting that done. If you ever look at customized car magazines such as DUB all of the Ferraris and Lambos with wheels that arn't of that make have painted emblems of their car brand.

could you please check the offset of the rim used for the 295-30...it would be a great help as i'm looking it getting some 19s.

I was amazed it even 1/2 way worked! the width issue was one but the height of the tire was fully 1.2 inches more than stock (by my math).

I went from having the same car as you before my C32. I had a 93 VR4 TT Mitsu. I loved it.

To be honest w/ you the 19's have a slower roll coming off the line, w/ the H&R's they rub all the time. The only thing that has really improved drastically is handling when you come out of a turn and floor it at 4K or so. Stock, the rear end comes loose and you find yourself all over the road. Now with the 275 Pirelli P-Zeros the handling seems to be the same as with the 295s but in the back it does not have as agressive of a look. I would recommend looking into some 18's. I'll get you the offset some time today
