Rear right suspension - PINGING over bumps?

have been noticing a PINGING noise in the rear right tire / suspension area every time i go over a bump. its much more noticeable when i go over a speed bump and in those cases the pinging is not just the right wheel area it comes from the entire rear axle.

i havent had my rear suspension checked for a couple years now and know my sway bar needs replacing per my last dealer visit 2 years ago.

question - when looking under the rear right wheel there is a specific part that in this picture sits in front of the spring (see pic) that seems to be loose and out of place.... anyone know what that is??? I put my hand on it tonight and its got a bit of play in in and i'm guessing thats whats causing the noise as i dont remember ever seeing that part so visible???

I assume you have xenon headlamps. If so, that is the level sensor arm that adjusts the headlight aiming. The bracket should be held to the lower control arm by two bolts.

thanks for the input. That photo is of the rear right wheel underside, so your saying that level sensor arm bracket should be connected to the lower control arm????

thanks feets will check that out... am guessing my rusted to hell rear sway bar and brackets thats 120k miles now and never changed are probably playing a role in the pinging noise here!!! need to change asap.
