Lost Key, Spare not working!!!

Lost Key, Spare not working!!!
Long story short....
Lost my key yesterday, had to leave car 45min from home around 1:00am last night. This morning went to car with my spare key which is oem, red light Flickers on smart key but wont lock or unlock doors, neither start the car. I took the cutout key out the smart key to unlock my doors. Key would not turn the car on or to the second position. After sitting mabey 2 min the key decided that it wanted to start the car . I then drove car back home to find out that once i turned the car off the spare key no longer worked, wont lock doors, wont unlock doors, and wont start car.
Any recommendations? Car battery is good to go, batteries in remote smart key is also good. Dealer quoted 300$

Keys sometimes get lint in them and then can't see the infrared light between the key and lock.
Try blowing both out with compressed air and making sure both key and lock are clean.

Got Lucky, Next day A family member of mine went biking at the location were i previously left my car and just by the grace of God they found them in grass near sidewalk.
Still have to replace that spare key though.
