Cars and boats!
ok, now im really considering going with the 19" monolites rather then the 18" Monolites... problem is that im afraid that the 19s, though lighter then the 18s and lighter then the OEM wheels are a slightly bigger diameter. How much of a difference do you guys think i would feel in acceleration b/w the 18" wheel with a big smaller diameter vs. a 19 in wheel with a little bit bigger diameter, stiffer sidewall tires but lighter then the 18" wheels!!!
When it comes down to it, I only have to question what would rob power more... weight of ur wheels or diameter of your wheels!!!

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
i know i felt a difference when i went from 17's to 19's. the 19's were lighter but still cause the larger diameter it felt noticeably slower off the line...but high end, it felt quicker.

Benzo,
I had the same dilemna and I contemplated 18" HRE wheels vs. 19" Kleeman wheels. The Kleeman wheels are lighter even though they are bigger.
I think that in terms of HP loss it will be a wash. The diameter increase will lose a little but the lighter weight makes up for it. IMHO I seriously doubt you would feel a difference.
It depends on what you want out of the wheels. If performance (and good looks) are what you are looking for as I was I would go with the 18" wheels. 19's will look nicer but there is no real performance gain and a lot to lose in terms of ride quality and if you ever want to track your car I would not recommend 19's.
Also other things to take into account is tire selection. I found a lot less desirable tire selection in 19's than 18's.
Search for "need help choosing between 18 and 19". A lot of people gave me great advice on that thread.
