Anybody with Denso IK20 spark plugs
Hey did you guys have to test the gap on the spark plugs before you installed them or did you just install them straight from teh box?

Cars and boats!
me and my mechanic are going to gap them a little closer then the stock ones.. once we take out a stock plug, we are going to use that as a base of comparison!!! Grrrrr, 12 plugs to gap... I guess I can do a couple on my lunch break!!!
oh and Nory, congrats on the new DSM your getting... welcome to the Daimler Chrysler regime!!!

You don't HAVE to check the gaps on new plugs
but it's a good idea to do so.I've changed a lot of plugs in the last 30 years, and I've seen quite a few that were way off spec... always too small. All it takes is for the box of sparkplugs to be dropped before you get them;the little cardboard shipping protectors won't always prevent the plugs from regapping themselves.
It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to verify that the gaps are right.

WHAT DSM? I will never do a cajapeo....
But anyways... Why don't u take some time of ur busy schedule and call up renntech and see what they say you should gap em at? Cause more than likey you will probably have to close the gap because your going to get a smaller pulley for most boost.... So gap them in anticipation of ur mods....
