Rim Suggestions?
I just had my OEM C55 rims completely redone. Trued, powder coated, perfect, not so much as a pin hole, You could eat off of them.
Since my OCD will not allow any future scratches, I am going to remove and replace them with something else aftermarket, as I need new tires anyway so now is a good time.
Any good suggestions for aftermarket rims?
I want to keep as close to the stock staggered set up as possible, 18" x 8" or 8.5" on front with a 30 ET , give or take, and 18" x 9" or 9.5"on the rear with a 34 ET, etc.
I would prefer something silver, brushed or polished. No chrome, nothing black.
Will run 225/40/18's on front and 255/35/18"s on back for tires. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, FYI.
I don't want to run spacers. I want to be close in my OEM offset and I don't want anything too heavy for rims.
I looked through a bunch of threads here on the OEM rim weight for 18" C55 rims and it appears to be between 26-28
lbs per rim, so I would like to keep the aftermarket ones under that if possible, say 24-25 lbs?
Already looked through the vendor/sponsor section here and browsed eBay and other MB wheel vendors briefly,, but would welcome any suggestions forum members might have.
I have seen pix of the C55 with a CLS rim which I think looks great but if anyone has other opinions please let me know.
Price in not an issue, but I don't want to get anything crazy $$$ like HRE's as my OCD will punish me, but I will pop some $ for a good set.
I plan to keep the stock rims, they are NOT for sale.
Thanks in advance for any comments.
