EvoSport -- Powerchips ECU
I have a question about the Powerchips ECU that EvoSport sells? Ocassionally I will hit the fuel cutoff in first gear and my car is stock. I imagine with the ECU & the ODPS it is even easier to bounce off of it. With the upgraded ECU is fuel cut off (not redline/shift point) increased to avoid this problem? If not how often do you hit the fuel cutoff.

I went to the dealer with the problem of the car shifting out of first gear way too early ~5600 RPM a lot of times. They investigated and commented that it was the car trying to avoid hitting the fuel cut. I hope this is not the fix. I do not now nor have I ever hit the fuel cut very often. I would rather have the car shift at redline than where it currently does.
Vadim, thanks for the response. I will have the dealer check the trans software version. Do you know if changing the shift point is the fix? If it is can I get an older version of the software loaded?
I might be about ready to place my order with Evo. Waiting on something to pan out at work. Should have happened a couple of weeks ago, but you know bureaucracy.
