W203 AMG Brakes
Hellow,
What do you, as owner of a W203 AMG, think about the front brakes?
My opinion... They're rubish...
I have 3 W203 AMG with the same brakes (4 piston 300mm) and everytime the same ****. The discs warps. I already used a lot of different brands and after 10.000km. A bented rotor.
The first time i had thought it was something else. Changed linkage arms, bearings,... no solution.
The only solution that i found was upgrading it to 6piston 360mm brakes from the SLK 55.
Am i the only one with this opinion?

I have the 6 pots for allmost a year and don't have bented discs anymore. Drive the same as with the 4 pots.
I'll try Zimmerman. Thx

Your rotors aren't actually warping at all. What is really happening is the pads are leaving more material on the rotor in some spots than others. Eventually, with enough heat, the leftover pad material on the disc becomes "cementite" and if that sounds like cement, there's a reason. This causes some bad pulsing that feels exactly like a warped rotor because the pads are alternating from pad on pad/cementite material to pad on rotor. It definitely feels like a warped rotor, but especially with vented rotors that are basically two rotors reenforced with steel vanes between them, I'm not even sure it's possible.
This will do a much better job at explaining than I can.
